We’re pleased to share our recent opinion editorial published in The Hill Times, titled: “Federal funding out of touch with Indigenous realities”. 

In this piece, we highlight how federal funding continues to fall out of touch with Indigenous realities, and calls for sustained investment in Friendship Centres. 

In this era of austerity and cost savings, there are few things that are worth an increase and investment. Urban Indigenous people are absolutely worth the investment at this crucial time. If the federal government seeks capable partners, Friendship Centres stand ready to lead.
